Every public release is preceded by a few dev versions where you can preview new features and bugfixes. I try to keep updates to the public version few and far between as to not spam admins with updates. Dev builds, however, do release fairly frequently, and between two public releases there may be anywhere between 5 to 20 dev versions. These dev versions may include a few bugs on new features, but on the whole tend to be even more stable than the last public version, as I do my best to thoroughly test dev versions to avoid releasing them with significant bugs.
